Through a combination of technological advances, aging, and demand for growth, careers in transportation are expected to add over 417,000 net jobs from 2012 to 2022.  The growth in demand is not limited to any region, as nearly every single state in the country will experience growth in this field. Furthermore, the greatest asset connected with a career in transportation is the wide range of people who are capable of applying for critical high paying jobs. From engineers and planners to truck drivers and construction workers, careers in transportation attract all manner of occupations and workers with a myriad of educational and occupational backgrounds.
